Terms
In short: Instant Gent is a free game. Play it as much as you like, but don't ride in real traffic the way you do in the game.
Who
Instant Gent, the app for iPhone and iPad and the website instantgent.be, is made by Wouter Smet. By playing the game or using the website, you agree to these terms.
The game
The game is free, without advertising and without in-app purchases. You may play it for your own enjoyment. You may not copy it, resell it or pass it off as your own work, and you may not overload the website or try to break into it.
It's a game
Ghent in the game looks like the real Ghent, but it is a game: streets, traffic, races, thieves and zombie students are made up or simplified. Don't use it as a city map or to find your way, and always follow the traffic rules in real life.
No warranty
Instant Gent is offered as it is. I do my best to make it work well, but I don't promise that it always works, is free of errors or will keep existing. As far as the law allows, I am not liable for any damage from using the game or the website.
Rights
The game, its code and its texts belong to Wouter Smet. The map comes from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL), the 3D models from Stad Gent (Gent in 3D) and the heights from Digitaal Vlaanderen (DHMV II); those stay under their own licences.
The App Store
If you get the app from the App Store, you also use it under Apple's standard licence agreement. What the app and the website keep about you is on the privacy page.
Changes and law
These terms can change; the latest version is always here. Belgian law applies. Questions can be asked through woutersmet.com.
